Hi!

I applied for Canadian PR under skilled worker category in Dec 2005 through Berlin CHC,Germany. I am not a German citizen. I got the file number in Jan 2006. I wrote Alberta province as my Destination.

While applying, i wrote IELTS and got 14 points out of 16 (read-8,speak-7,listen-8,write-6, overall = 7.5) and i stated that i will complete my M.S degree in MAY 2006. So i had only 65 points while filing. If i add my points for M.S i will improve from 65 to 68.

But due to some health problems, i can't complete my degree in MAY, but i can complete by September 2006. I wonder whether my application will get rejected or they will ask some proof for my course completion.

1. What is the processing time in Berlin CHC for non-German citizens?
2.What should i do now? shall i wait for their response or i should i mail them about my course completion date.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Bala

My advice is that you should have taken provincial nomination, but for your application it could take 13-45 months.

Hi kyle,

Thank you very much.
What is the procedure for Alberta provincial nominee? can i apply with 65 points? or should i have some confirmed jobs?

Cheers

The passmark doesn't matter on the Alberta PNP.

Employers may also apply to the PN Program to nominate individuals already working in Alberta, under a Temporary Foreign Worker Authorization.
The employer's application under the PNP will be considered where the position:

cannot be filled by a Canadian resident
is for permanent, full-time employment in Alberta
meets provincial employment and wage standards
is offered to an individual who meets the required qualifications, and
does not conflict with existing collective bargaining agreements Employee candidates may be considered for PN Program nomination if:

they are recruited by a pre-approved Alberta employer, and,
they have a valid job offer Successful PNP candidates nominated by the Government of Alberta will be required to meet all Federal statutory requirements regarding health, criminal and security checks before an immigration visa is issued.

Plus, you might want to consider applying to the consulate of your citizenship.
