I would like to immigrate to canada but i do not know how to apply for the visa of residence. Do you know if there is somebody who could tell me about the stepts i need to take to apply? I have seen many web pages of lawyers and immigration officers but they seem quite expensive :(

This site gives the visa/application types and requirements, provides the papers to complete, and lets you know where to file. If you do not have "special circumstances" or complicated issues, you should be able to apply without an immigration lawyer (or paying the expense for one) by simply following the steps on the website. You may have to take a little bit of time navigating around the site to become familiar with everything, but it is definitely worth it. Good luck!
