I am thinking to immigrate to Canada but a bit confused about the oppupation field. I have been a post-doc for 2 years and then working as an engineer for 1 year, then from 4 months ago I joined a polytechnic to be a lecturer. So I donot know whether I can earn enough marks for my working experience.

Another questions is the police certificate. I have been living in UK for one year, so I need a police certificate and are there any one knows what document is required to submit for this certificate? And how the certificate will say?

From Sept 1, 2006 a new process has been introduced where u wont have to submit any form with ur application.

yes, I understand that from Sep. 2006, we donot need to submit supporting documents at the beginning, but eventually you need to submit after request, so I'd like to know at least how long this police certificate takes and how it goes on.

there are visa office specific instructions about the police certficate. It will be effected by the fact that where u have applied. Therefore, i would suggest once again to look at www.cic.gc.ca (http://www.cic.gc.ca) to get specific details.
