Depends. Where are you from and what program are you applying under? Also, what Embassy did you apply to?

Did you apply as a Skilled Worker, Provincial Nominee or under another type of program?

Hi Kyle

I am a Malaysian applied under Skiller PR in Kuala Lumpur. AOR 14Dec 05 stating to wait 24-36 mths. Noticed in the website saying that 30% 13 mths, 50% 31 mths and 80% 39 mths. I used an immigration lawyer so i think it should be quite complete.

any idea how long will i have to wait further ?

Thanks in advance

Well, those times are an estimate. Those are on average and sometimes, your case can fall between the cracks.

Remember, you may be able to speed up the process by:

making sure all the necessary information is included with your application;
notifying the visa office of any changes to the information on your application;
avoiding unnecessary enquiries to the visa office;
making sure the photocopies and documents you provide are clear and legible;
providing certified English or French translations of documents, where indicated; and
applying from a country where you are a citizen or permanent resident. Your application will be delayed if the visa office has to take extra steps to assess your case. Your application will take longer if:

there are criminal or security problems with your application;
your family situation is not clear because of a situation such as a divorce or an adoption that is not yet complete or child custody issues that have not been resolved; or
the local visa office has to consult with other CIC offices in Canada or abroad.

Hi Kyle !

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I guess i satisfy all the criteria above as my case is being presented by an immigration lawyer and i can see that it has been submitted in a very professional way.

i just hope it can be approved soonest
