after my 2nd interview(security one) , i got this email from the embassy:
Please note that background checks are still in process. This is a legal requirement prior to visa issuance and cannot be avoided. As soon as this step is completed we expect to be able to proceed to the final stage of assessment.
Once issued, the visas will be valid until [March 2007], which is the validity of medical exams.

i made my medicals : 4 march 2006
and made a security interview:13 aug 2006
and with respect to the CTM

how can ur application processing time very fast (less that a year)?,and is there any way to accelerate it?

my application takes from 9-12 month since i applied for the provincial nominee program ( more information www.cic.gc.ca (http://www.cic.gc.ca) ) now adays the back ground checks are delaying my file since u know that we are in the middle east ---- and i had been a police man for 22 years so the candian intelligence are doing their work. with respect to you, u applied in july 2004 the selection interview is after 3 years and medicals after 1 years if u passed the interview and had the enough points ,then u have to wait cause BACKKKKKKKKK GROUNDS CHECKS take alot of timeeeeeee . BY THE WAY HOWS UR CRIMNAL RECORD ?

I Applied for PR under Skill worker class in Damascus (Syria), and I got file number in July 2004, my score was 77 point, also I'm sure I send all necessary documents including the CCPE Certification. i submit my CRIMNAL RECORD certification for my wife and me from iraq, also from malaysia ( i lived there about two year with my wife).
